Grandmaster Steve Miller is a 7th Degree Black Belt with the USNTF and a 5th Degree Black Belt with the Kukkiwon in the art of Taekwondo. Master Miller is also a 1st-degree black belt with the WKGA in Koryo Gumdo. He has been training for over 40 years.
Master Miller attained his 1st and 2nd-degree black belt under Grandmaster Dae Kyu Lee, his 3rd degree under Master Luong Pham ( a member of the 1988 Olympic Team), and his 4th, 5th, and 6th degree under Grandmaster Duk Gun Kwon. He became a Certified Master Instructor in 2012. Master Miller has competed throughout his life at many levels of competition, winning the NJ state tournaments on multiple occasions. His most recent accomplishment was becoming an International Champion at 45 when he won the 18th USNTF International Taekwondo Championships in 2012. Master Miller has traveled to South Korea thrice (1988, 2008, and 2019) to receive specialized training at the Kukkiwon and Taekwondowon in Seoul, South Korea. He also has trained in Hapkido (discipline of throws, takedowns, and joint locks) and Koryo Gumdo (the Korean sword similar to the Samurai). He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance from college. He is a Regional Manager of a local dental DSO and works at the district office of H&R Block.
Further, he is an Associate Member of the Cape Atlantic Marine Corps and an active member of his church family. Master Miller has and continues to use Taekwondo to balance his work, home, and family responsibilities. His current level of mastery makes him uniquely qualified to help students understand the importance of discipline, commitment, goal setting, and the value of education.
Master James Dunbar is a 6th Dan Black Belt registered with US Chung Do Kwan. Additionally, he is registered as a 5th Dan Black Belt with Kukkiwon. Master Instructor Dunbar has been training in the Martial Arts for 35 plus years.
Jim owns J.E. Dunbar Realtors and is a Notary Public for 40 years. He is a former New Jersey State Trooper, US Marine, and retired Casino Control Commission Inspector. Jim is an honor graduate of the Atlantic Community College with an AS in Law Enforcement and Business. With additional studies at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He is active in his community through the Cape Atlantic Detachment of the Marine Corps League, the Toy for Tots Program, the Absecon American Legion, the Absecon Kiwanis, and the Inlet Athletic and Social Club.
Mr. James Snyder – 3rd Degree Black Belt. Mr. Snyder has been training in the martial arts for over 12 years. He has studied in the arts of Wado Ryu, Karate, Tang Soo Do, Hap Ki Do, and Taekwondo. It is in Taekwondo where Mr Snyder has truly begun to fine tune his art. He attained his first and second degree black belt under US Chung Do Kwon Association of Taekwondo. He was awarded his Third Degree in 2019. In 2003 he became a certified Instructor. Throughout his career, he has competed, judged, and refereed at various tournaments. He also has training in the weaponry of Bo Staff, Cain, and Knife.
